April 24, 1915 marks the darkest day in Armenia's 3000 years history.
A day that has left a deep scar in the hearts of Armenians worldwide. That day the Ottoman Turkish government began the systematic genocide of the Armenian people. By 1922, 1.5 million Armenians had been slaughtered. Decades have passed and yet the civilized world is now beginning to recognized and accept the facts about the Armenian Genocide and the Crimes committed by the Ottoman Turks in the forgotten Genocide of the 20th century.
"I am confident that the whole history of the human race contains
no such horrible episode as this. The great massacres and persecutions
of the past seem almost insignificant when compared to the sufferings
of the Armenian race in 1915."
Henry Morgenthau, Sr. US Ambassador to the Ottoman Empire
